Products, as in those of a reaction. Yield, as in what's given by the ground.
A week in the Scottish countryside is certainly enough time to learn, think, read, and take the first steps toward making things. We've documented those first steps below — but first, we have an invitation.
What's more delightful than a little book? Museum curators have known this for decades — that's why they package images and ideas from their exhibits into catalogs you can pick up in the gift shop. We're doing the same thing: collecting finished pieces, unfinished pieces, loose thoughts, ambitious ideas, rants/raves, reviews, revues, cool rocks, and insights into something we can share. We'd like you to contribute.
We welcome contributions in any form that engages with the themes of the residency: emergence, complexity, the relationship between parts and wholes, generativity, and the conditions under which something new comes into being.
