Zettelkasten Notes

A zettelkasten (German for "slip box") is a method of networked note-taking developed by sociologist Niklas Luhmann. Rather than organizing notes hierarchically by topic, each note is a self-contained unit linked to other notes by association. The structure that emerges (a web of cross-references rather than a table of contents) mirrors the way ideas actually develop: through unexpected connections between disparate sources. Our zettelkasten collects annotations, questions, and disagreements from across our reading list. Each note is tagged and linked to others, and the network graph visualizes how ideas from different disciplines connect.

Add a note: drop a .md file into zettelkasten/ with YAML frontmatter (title, tags, links, source, author) and push to rebuild the graph.
